Upcoming Events:
Picnic Supper Concerts in Harborfront Park
Beginning on June 24th, 2009, the Greater Port Jefferson-Northern Brookhaven Arts Council proudly announces that a new concert series, the Picnic Supper Harborfront Park Concerts will take place on the lawn of beautiful Harborside Park on the water next to the Port Jefferson Village Center, 101 East Broadway, Port Jefferson.
These concerts will be a very welcome new addition for the community. The very popular and talented performers in this series appeal to all ages, and these concerts are FREE to the public. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic supper and their own blankets or lawn chairs. This is a terrific way to connect with neighbors, and make new friends while enjoying wonderful music and spectacular sunsets over Port Jefferson Harbor. A delightful small playground is adjacent to the concert area, so parents can enjoy the music while amusing the little ones who cannot sit still.
Soaring vocal harmonies, sing-a-long favorites of the Sixties, pre-War and ragtime jazz, rockabilly, country-flavored pop tunes, and delightful originals by these talented songwriters are all featured in this series.
